The Older Son

The parable of the prodigal son speaks primarily about two individuals in the story, the younger son and the father.  This parable also sheds light on an older brother, who feels overlooked and undervalued despite his faithfulness.  It reminds us that we can overcome feelings of bitterness and recognize the blessings we have, trusting in God’s greater plan for our lives because we are His children.
