Rebuilding the Foundation

Before meaningful change can occur, we must rebuild our foundation through prayer, as demonstrated in Nehemiah’s story of rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls.  Nehemiah’s response to Jerusalem’s disrepair began with days of prayer and fasting. This teaches us three key principles: getting personally involved in prayer, working through difficult issues, and understanding that the deepest foundations support the tall structures. True restoration requires personal commitment, persistence, and partnership with God.
