Come Home
September 15, 2024 - September 29, 2024
In our new series ‘Come Home,’ we delve into the parable of the Prodigal Son, a story rich with lessons about God’s relationship with humanity. This week, we focus on the younger son who demands his inheritance, leaves home, and squanders his wealth in reckless living. When a severe famine strikes, he finds himself in dire need and decides to return home, hoping to be accepted as a servant. His father, seeing him from a distance, runs to him and embraces him with compassion, declaring that his lost son has been found. This parable reminds us that we are all prodigals at some point, wandering away from God. Yet, God’s lavish grace and mercy are always available to us, no matter how far we have strayed. Reflect on your relationship with God this week and consider areas where you may have wandered. Remember, you are never too far from home to return to the Father, who is always waiting with open arms.
